How to enable AD connector in Optimizely Configured (B2B) Commerce

Create the connection

  • Go to Administration > Jobs > Connections.
  • Click Add Integration Connection.
  • Enter a name for your connection (Flat File or AD Feed) in the Name field.
  • Select the connection type from the Type Name dropdown (SFTP or FlatFile).
  • Fill in the information for the type of connection you selected. See Create an Integration Connectionfor more details.
  • Click Save.

Create the connection in WIS

  • Navigate to WIS server.
  • Navigate to C:\Program Files\Optimizely\Commerce Integration Service V5.2 in WIS server. Here, Commerce Integration Service V5.2 can differ based on the installed version of WIS service.
  • Update SiteConnections.config file, copy an existing connection and replace the IntegrationConnectionName with newly created connection in Optimizely admin.
  • Navigate to windows services and look for Commerce Integration Service V5.2. Here, V5.2 may differ as per the installed Commerce integration service.
  • Restart Commerce Integration Service.
  • Navigate back to above mentioned service folder and review the logs present in logfile.txt file available at the root of the folder.

Enable the AD feed connector in Optimizely

  • Go to Administration > System > Settingsin the Admin Console.
  • Search for Enable AD Feed Integration.
  • Set the Enable AD Feed Integrationtoggle to YES. This enables the AD Feed integration connector and creates the job definition. Default value: No. This is a global setting.
  • Click Save.
  • Click  YES and Save when the message appears to install the Integration Job Definition for the Affiliated Distributors connector.

Things to Note in the OOTB AD Integration Connector

  1. Once AD integration connector is enabled, Optimizely creates below jobs.
    • AD Data Feed Refresh
    • AD Data Feed Translations Refresh
    • AD Media Upload to S3
    • AD Price Matrix Refresh
  2. OOTB AD integration connectors field mapping can be changed using field mapping option present under individual steps present under the job definition.
  3. For any modification/Massaging it is recommended that we do it in integration processor than doing it in the Post processor.
