Introduced in early 2023 under the ServiceNow Utah release, Application Portfolio Management (APM) was intended to significantly boost the platform’s Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) capabilities. Prior to this release, enterprises did not have a unified view of their platform and required numerous tools and manual work to create the links between business capabilities, technology services and their underlying tech investments.
