The three main objectives of V9.1 are providing world-class customer experience, optimized merchandizing, and cloud native commerce. The Most Exciting Among the New Features are:

Elasticsearch with Core Natural Language Processing ensures improved personalized search results. It has voice, image, and barcode search capabilities. And what Core NLP offers is better tokenization, faster processing speed, large trained data dictionary, result accuracy, and supports multiple languages. This would be further enhanced in the later releases.

Two New Storefronts: Named Sapphire and Emerald, the V9.1 has exclusive storefronts for B2B and B2C, respectively. The powerful, new storefront is written in REACT and fully API driven. And for the first time with the ability to create SPA, which ensures responsive design with faster load time, and innovate and customize storefront. And the storefront has downloadable Progressive Web Application (PWA) support, enabling the customers to download your website and browse and select items even while offline.

Built-in CMS and DAM: CMS and DAM capabilities will be delivered within the Commerce suite, avoiding the hassle of buying a separate Content Management Solution. HCL Digital Experience (DX) would simplify the process of editing or adding any content to the storefront. A few among the new CMS capabilities:

  • Integrate Commerce artifacts into DX

  • Content preview in storefront from the Commerce Management Center

  • Unified Commerce and DX provisioning in Kubernetes

A Few More Features of V9.1

Also, HCL has extended its partnership with Google Cloud, and GCP is now the preferred cloud platform for HCL Commerce customers.
