New container service for multi-cloud deployments of Mule runtimes makes it simple for organizations to build application networks on their preference of data center or cloud. Anypoint runtime fabric is a container service that will automate and orchestrate your mule applications across any environment, i.e., on-premises and public or private cloud. It is the best choice for customers needed to deploy on-premises bringing managed cloud benefits to your data center. You can install runtime fabric on bare metal VM or a self-managed Kubernetes cluster like AWS, EKS and Azure AKS. Once installed, an admin can configure which business groups and environments can deploy to this fabric.

Based on your deployment, you can also configure the ingress node to allow incoming traffic and set up load balancers to front the traffic. You can even view edge protection if using Anypoint security edge as the ingress node. Once set up, you can deploy applications to it by simply following the same steps as you would for any mule application deployment and select runtime fabric as your deployment target. Once you have chosen your application and target, you can scale horizontally by adding replicas or verticals by choosing the number of cores and memory.

These settings can also be changed after deployment with zero downtime. When you are ready, click a deploy button, and your application appears in the same single point view as the rest of your mule deployments. And if you ever needed to change environments from on-premises to cloud or from one cloud vendor to another, you can do that here with a couple of clicks to deploy successfully.

Runtime fabric has built-in resilience and fail-overs, so your applications have zero downtime. Unlike on-prem servers, runtime fabric can support running multiple mule versions due to the isolation of runtimes. It also allows auto-scaling and boosts in configurations to optimize resources and scale during peak periods. Anypoint runtime fabric provides manage cloud benefits in your private cloud or data center, making it easier for IT teams to deploy resilient applications at scale.
